Copper Bonded Ground Rod
HOBB's range of Copper-clad Ground Rod comprises 1/2", 5/8", 3/4" and 1" diameter sectional ground rods. Ground Rods supplied by Hobb are made of solid steel core covered with a uniform copper coating. The copper is applied electrolytically forming a metallurgical bond between the steel core and the copper. Steel core is cold drawn to ASTM A1080 AISI C1017. The copper coating is of type DHP alloy #122 CDA to ASTM B-572. Copper coating is continous over the rod with copper thickness as:

Length of rods is 6, 8 or 10 feet, plus or minus 1/2". Standard U/L minimum requirement is 8 feet.
Each rod is imprinted within 12 inches of the top of the rod with : Control number indicating rod diameter and length, manufacturer's logo and U/L mark.

PACKAGING FOR COPPER GROUND RODS
Rods are packaged in standard unit bundles strapped with narrow metal banding. Standard bundles are securely bound in steel strapped master bundles. Each master bundle will be tagged with size and length.
